Bybit Supports Young People in the Digital Asset Sector at NYU Abu Dhabi’s Annual Career Fair

During its first appearance at the NYU Abu Dhabi Career Fair, Bybit showed its dedication to helping young talent in the UAE enter the digital asset world.

Bybit, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange globally by trading volume, wrapped up its participation in the NYU Abu Dhabi Annual Career Fair on October 30. This marked a key moment as it made its first direct connections with talented individuals in the UAE. This followed the company receiving a virtual asset platform operator license from the Securities and Commodities Authority.

The event gave eager students a chance to explore job opportunities in the growing digital asset sector. Bybit’s talent acquisition and career branding team discussed the company’s vision, mission, and culture, showcasing the various career paths within the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.

Michelle Dawra, Country Manager of Bybit UAE, stated, “Bybit provides global and rewarding career paths, linking talented individuals in the UAE with valuable opportunities in the digital asset field. We take pride in supporting ambitious young people and empowering them to make their mark in this fast-changing sector with a major global impact.”

The exhibition drew hundreds of students and recent graduates, which highlighted the increasing interest among young talent in the UAE in pursuing careers in digital assets and blockchain.

Global Headquarters, Local Impact

Bybit’s commitment to the UAE goes beyond attracting talent. Its presence at this year’s event comes at an important time for the company, which has been headquartered in the country since 2022. Earlier this month, Bybit achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first cryptocurrency platform to secure a full license as a virtual asset platform operator from the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA).

This significant achievement reinforces Bybit’s status as a fully compliant organization in the UAE and supports the country’s goal to be a leading global hub for digital assets. The company also announced plans to set up a larger regional operations center in Abu Dhabi, with plans to employ over 500 people in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Since receiving its SCA license, Bybit has increased its investment in building local infrastructure, developing talent, and enhancing community engagement. As it strengthens its presence in the region, it aims to create hundreds of quality job opportunities, helping the UAE work towards becoming a top global center for digital technologies.

Blockchain, the Web 3.0 Economy, and Cryptocurrency Innovation

The digital asset sector is one of the most dynamic and innovative areas of the global economy, offering unique opportunities for exceptional graduates eager to lead in fintech innovation. Through its direct engagement with top academic talent in the UAE, Bybit emphasizes its commitment to growing local expertise and building a diverse and skilled workforce to shape the future of the region’s digital economy.
